I like many combinations in the garden beds--complimentary colors, assorted textures and shapes, and sizes all make for a pleasing bed. I have a long, wide perimeter bed and after the spring bulbs of pink, yellow and white bloom, the next plants to bloom are in shades of purple, yellow and white. The combinations are endless! I change it up a little every year, with the same backbone of purple, yellow and white perennials.
