ASIATIC LILIES - UNSCENTED LILIES THAT INCREASE ANNUALLY

The first lilies of the season to bloom are the ASIATIC LILIES.They usually bloom from Mid-June to Mid-July. They have 4-6-inch wide flowers on plants that range anywhere from 2 to 5-foot plants. They can point upward, outward, or down, and come in a wide range of colors--anywhere from white to yellow, orange, red, pink, and purple.  Their blooms are not fragrant, and one thing I really like about them is that they don't need staking, and are vigorous long-lived plants that multiply annually, forming nice-sized clumps.  Plant them in a well-drained area in full sun.  They also are long-lived flowers in arrangements.
