My mother, Maurine Holland, is one talented lady! She does everything by hand--cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, canning, and just about anything you can name. When we celebrated her 80th birthday 4 years ago, we made a small display of some of her favorite handicrafts and baked items. You can see her beautiful hand-crochet work, with a lace tablecloth, pillowcases, little dress, a blessing dress with bonnet and booties, tree top angels, hankies, snowflake ornaments, and garment envelopes. A few loaves of her famous homemade bread are also in the picture. She is a woman of many talents, and I'm blessed to have her for a mom, even more blessed to call her friend and confidant.
