With crisp, cool days and shorter nights, the garden mums are in full bloom. These brightly colored flowers will last in the gardens until a freezing frost, and in arrangements, can last upwards of 3 weeks, or even more, if the conditions are right. I like the jewel tones of this beauty, arranged in a carved out artificial pumpkin. Keep in mind that if you're using a real pumpkin, the pumpkin will mold much faster than the flowers--within a week or less.
