COOL WEATHER PANSIES--LOVELY NOW AND IN THE SPRING

I love PANSIES.  Their seemingly unending number of colors, patterns and varieties make their use in the gardens wonderful and unique every year.  I plant mine in the fall for bigger, more prolific established clumps in the spring.  They are cool weather annuals, although I usually use them as biennials, especially in the beds where they get some shade.  They bring a color spot to the fall beds, and over winter well, and in the spring, they increase in size and volume.  Pansies like a sprinkling of BLOOD MEAL early in the spring for more profusion in their blooming.  They are an easy, carefree color spot I wouldn't be without.
