5 NEW DAY LILIES OUT TODAY

5 new DAY LILIES were in bloom yesterday morning!  So, when I returned later in the day I got a quick shot of them at dusk, because if I had waited until morning, they would be far-spent. Day Lilies bloom for only a day, usually opening up first thing, and shriveling up that night.  The good thing that makes having a day lily as a plant in your garden, is that there are so many buds on each plant that they can be in bloom for 3-4 weeks or more.  Although not good for floral arrangements, they provide a much-needed color spot in the summer perennial garden.
