SUMMER SHOWERS PERK THINGS UP!

Every day this past week there have been more blooms in the beds, and yesterday and today there was even some rain to perk things up; the blooms love it!  (Although through the night and right now it is a virtual downpour--one of the biggest in recent memory!)  I especially love the muted colors above--They bring an ethereal feel to the garden, which also makes the beds seem larger.  The bright pinks below have been wonderful this season, and are always among my favorites.  Pictured are cone flowers, double hollyhock, hydrangea, phlox, zinnias, daisies, climbing roses, hybrid tea rose, Asiatic lilies, oriental lilies, and day lilies.
