A walk around the yard yesterday afternoon after our first cold weather storm blew in revealed that the fall blooms weathered well. The roses, zinnias, mums and dahlias all came through it well. Last night's temperatures dipped colder, so in a while after it lightens up, we'll have to see what they look like this morning; hopefully they are all fine. Next week promises to be warmer, the forecast being 10 days of great weather! This gives the newly transplanted perennials a greater chance of taking root and being strong and viable for the winter months.
