When the TALL BEARDED IRIS are on their last blooms, I'm always a little sad. That's where things stand in the garden today--the late iris are still blooming, and the others are either through blooming, or on their last blooms. The lupine and poppies are the same--in their last days. So, things in the garden aren't near as colorful as they were in their prime two weeks ago. The roses have started to bloom, however, as well as the late clematis and late peonies. Before long, all the lilies, State Fair Zinnias and Gladiola's will be in bloom. One thing I like about the roses, is that they will be blooming regularly through the rest of the year, until frost. The arrangement today has no iris--I want to save the ones left to enjoy in the garden. Lupine, Roses and Peonies make up this pink arrangement
